The church started as the youth fellowship of the King is Coming Model Parish, Redemption Camp. The youth fellowship, headed by then Bro Biola Olatunji was commissioned to start a new parish, with the youths of KIC Parish. Bro Emmanuel Ojo (now a Pastor) was his first assistant.
The name, Messiah’s Praise Sanctuary, was given as a result of the Marathon Praise program started by the youths of KIC. The church started without a roof, on a piece of land across from KIC. As time went on, the church acquired a tent which served for a while, and before the 4th year, God had given us a building.
God helped the church, led by Pastor Biola Olatunji, to attract the youthful demographic through high praises, unique programs, time-conscious services, and divine favour. God also favoured us with multiple visits from our Father-in-the-Lord and Mother-in-Israel, Pastor and Pastor (Mrs) E.A. Adeboye, with its attendant spiritual and physical blessings.
The church has been involved in various spiritual and social responsibility programs, in and around the Redemption Camp. God has been faithful as we have seen results, transformed lives, and blessings over the life of participants.
The Church's primary goal at the moment, is to build a befitting worship place for the Teens, hence this year's anniversary is targeted at achieving same.
We appreciate God for how far He has taken us, but we realize that He hasn’t even started with us yet. We know that He has much bigger plans for us, and we are putting in all efforts that will help us to attain to God’s plans for our lives, families, church, and nation. We continue to be willing to ‘spend and be spent’ so that ‘men will see our good works and glorify our Father who is in heaven’.
